Jay Z held a launch event in New York yesterday where he was joined on-stage by A-list friends Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Madonna, Beyonce, Usher, Daft Punk, Arcade Fire, Jack White and Kanye West.

Fellow Tidal co-owners Calvin Harris and Chris Martin helped to announce the relaunch of Tidal via video link.

Jay Z told Billboard he "didn't like the direction music was going" and believed "we could get in and strike an honest blow".

Artists hosted on Tidal will be paid double the royalties offered by other music streaming services, it has been rumored.

Jay Z said: "Will artists make more money? Even if it means less profit for our bottom line, absolutely. 

"That's easy for us. We can do that. Less profit for our bottom line, more money for the artist. Fantastic."

Tidal hopes to differentiate itself from rivals including Rdio, Xbox Music, Google Play Music All Access, Spotify, Deezer and Napster by offering 16-bit FLAC format songs.

Karrueche Tran Dishes On All Things Love & Pain

It was about time Karrueche Trans's voice was heard! During the sit-down with Fix My Life Iyanla Vanzant, she described how she met Chris, and what made her fall in love, as well as knowing that he was hanging out with Rihanna but being okay with it because she thought it was innocent (at first).  She also revealed that the couple talked about having kids but she definitely wasn’t ready for that until marriage, and she had to find out about Chris’ new baby girl on social media.

1. She wanted to do the interview so her voice could be heard

I want my voice to be heard. For a long time, I kept it very mute. Just because that’s the way I preferred it, but I think there are a lot of misconceptions about me-I don’t think, I know there are. And I want to be able to clear it up and a chance to tell my story and tell my side.

Now that I’ve chosen my career, which is 

acting and modeling, which is being in the limelight-it’s very important because one time I went to an audition and I stated my name, and they were like, ‘Oh! That name sounds really familiar. Oh! I’ve seen you on TMZ.’ And her first perception of me might be of what she’s heard.

2. She met Chris Brown for the first time on a styling job

Me and Chris first met on a styling job. At the time, about five years ago, I was a personal assistant to a business loaner [in Los Angeles] and I was doing styling on the side.

I didn’t directly give him my number. I gave one of his dancers my phone number and he got my number from him.

[When he first called] honestly, I didn’t view it as, ‘Oh my God! Chris Brown is calling me.’ Of course it was different [and] new, but it wasn’t like, ‘Oh my God, girl!’ I just wasn’t rubbed that way by him.

Grace Gealey, AKA BooBooKitty , the gorgeous actress behind the villainous Empire character is said to be dating Trai Bryers who plays Andre Lyon on the hit show. The two were spotted at a friend’s wedding recently and now comes Us Weekly’s report, confirming that they are indeed a couple in real life.

Taylor Swift Buys Two Porn Site Domains

Taylor Swift is the proud owner of many enviable items: gorgeous kitties, legs that go on forever, seven Grammy's and err, two porn site domains. The pop goddess has reportedly purchased the rights to two rather questionable websites, TaylorSwift.porn and TaylorSwift.adult so that no one else out there can make money off her name, or porn.

The Blank Space hitmaker, who was recently threatened by hackers claiming to have nude pics of her, made the purchase before .porn, .suck, and other domain suffixes become available to the public on June 1. According to CNN, the same goes for tech giants Microsoft who snapped up Office.porn and Office.adult. They don't come cheap, however, as the can domains cost up to $2,500 to register.

Terrence Howard Wants Empire To Turn Up By Using The N-word

 Terrence Howard thinks that the N-word can and should be used by anyone .. black or white and it will even give the show EMPIRE more authenticity. He thinks his character Luscious Lyon should take Empire to the next level by throwing in a couple of N-words in season two’s script to give it more street cred. After all its just a 'noun'  he added.

Terrence says the show did away with being politically correct when it featured his character dumping a 6-year-old Jamal, dressed in drag, in the trash. He feels Empire should continue going down that non-PC path.

Oprah & Common To Appear On Empire Season 2

Co-creator Lee Daniels tells Access Hollywood that he's writing roles in "Empire" for both Common and Oprah Winfrey.

Months into a record-breaking ratings run, Fox's Empire has reportedly tapped Oprah Winfrey and Common for potential roles in an upcoming second season.

The first season of Empire concludes this week with a two-hour season finale. At a screening for the season's twelfth and final episode co-creator and showrunner Lee Daniels announced the plans for Oprah and Common to make appearances.

50 Cent will head to trial over release of Lastonia Leviston sex tape, Rick Ross’ baby mother.

50 Cent is well known for his outspoken personality specially on social media and while consequences of his actions on Twitter and Instagram usually field some public backlash, he has managed to stay clear of legal problems in that realm. Until now. 

 Although 50 and Rick Ross supposedly squashed their infamous beef six years ago but there is still residue from the bout finding its way into the current day. The Queens native is slated to head to trial stemming from a lawsuit via Rick Ross’ child’s mother, Lastonia Leviston.

Nelly First American Artist To Perform In Iraq

It was a first for American artist  Nelly who went on stage for a concert in Iraq to support the ethnic Kurds fighting against ISIS. He was welcomed to Kurdistan region by Ebril Gov. Nawzad Hadi.

Joined by fellow rapper Ali, Nelly then performer a concert at an annual soccer tournament, but was greeted mostly by empty seats.

However those who did attend, reportedly cheered the rapper by waving Iraqi flags and fans were reported to go 'crazy'!.

Martine Scorses To Direct The Mike Tyson Movie Feat Jamie Foxx

Jamie Foxx has made his desire to play Mike Tyson well-known for years. Despite his wishes taking so long to finally come true, it appears the movie will get just about the best treatment Hollywood has to offer. Foxx told Power 106's The Breakfast Club Martin Scorsese is on board to direct the film reportedly written by Terence Winter.

Scorsese and Winter previously teamed up for another biopic about a wildly successful but often unsavory man who lost nearly everything. It was called The Wolf of Wall Street. The two also work together on Boardwalk Empire and are making an untitled rock n' roll project for HBO.

Everyone Wants A Piece Of 'Empire'

There is no arguing that Fox's Empire is the hottest series till date and everyday somebody is claiming to be an inspiration behind a character in it. Love & Hip Hop reality star Joseline Hernandez thought Cookie Lyon was all her before Taraji P. Henson quickly killed that noise and revealed her character was inspired by Lil Kim. Diddy’s youngest son, Christian, posted up a picture recently, implying that he and his brothers Justin and Quincy are the real Lyon boys.

Now NBA player, Iman Shumpert is side-eying the show because Tiana, who plays Hakeem’s industry girlfriend, reminds him of somebody — his girlfriend Teyana Taylor!

The Cleveland Cavalier is not okay with Empire producers seemingly swagger jacking Teyana, who like Tiana, is also a R&B singer, dancer and actress, and not cutting a check. Speaking with Cleveland.com, Iman notes the similar styles and the fact that both women have the same name as enough receipts to prove Empire’s Tiana = Teyana.

 He said ' They’re using my girl’s character, her style, her look and she’s not getting anything for it. They didn’t even change her name. They could have at least let my girl audition for the part instead of stealing her character completely.'

About 37 million adults snore regularly, according to the National Sleep Foundation, resulting in poor snooze quality for their bedmates and themselves. Men are more likely to saw away, and snoring tends to worsen with age. "The sound comes from vibrations made as you breathe through narrowed airways while sleeping," says Breus. Congestion is often a trigger; so is drinking alcohol close to bedtime. Even sleeping on your back can be to blame, which is why non snoring partners often roll (or push!) the snorer over to get some peace and quiet. If addressing these issues doesn't help, have your partner check in with a sleep doctor. Snoring can be a sign of sleep apnea, a serious but treatable condition that causes breathing to stop several times per night. In the meantime, Breus suggests the snore-free partner drown out the buzz by surrounding their ears with a wall of pillows. "The sound will bounce back in the other direction, reducing the noise enough so you're more likely to drift off," he says.

Washington Roberts 2015 Collection

Nigerian-born designer, Washington Roberts, learned the art of sewing from his grandmother. As a young child he new that an acute attention to detail and a steady hand could turn pieces of fabric into beautiful works of wearable art. His grandmother was a true inspiration.

Washington moved to New York City to pursue his career in chemical engineering.
