Commemorating a pivotal year in his life, Chuck Taylor delivers a 13-track project that includes music inspired by Wu-Tang Clan (“I Grew Up On Wu-Tang”) and Tupac Shakur (“The Juice” and “All Eyez”).
Although billed as a #NoFeatures album, the album includes appearances by Jeremih (“All Eyez”) and Jason Derulo (“Baby You”).
During a recent interview with “The Wendy Williams Show,” Game explained the album title’s significance.
“1992 was the first year that I joined a gang,” he said. “At that point in my life, I was getting pulled in both directions. I grew up in a Crip neighborhood but my brothers were Bloods. It was sort of a tug-of-war. That’s how it is in Compton. Once you get close to your teenage years, gangs start pulling at you. It’s almost 99 percent that you’ll probably join a gang.”
